Deniz Kara is a Swiss-Turkish actress, educator, and creative based in Zurich, Switzerland. She has trained and worked internationally across Europe, the United States, and Turkey, bringing a multicultural perspective to her artistic work.

 

After completing high school in the United States, Deniz returned to Switzerland and graduated from Business School before pursuing her lifelong passion for acting. She later moved to Los Angeles, where she trained intensively and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in 2015. She continued her studies at UCLA, graduating in 2018 with a certificate in Entertainment Studies focused on Directing and Acting.

 

During her six years in Los Angeles, Deniz gained extensive on-set experience and performed in feature films, short films, music videos, commercials, and theater productions. She also wrote, directed, and edited several short films, expanding her storytelling practice both in front of and behind the camera.

 

In 2018, Deniz relocated to Istanbul, where she appeared in Turkish feature films and further refined her craft through the Chubbuck Technique under Harika Uygur’s Master class. Alongside her screen work, she discovered a passion for youth education, teaching Performing Arts, Improvisation, Scene Study, Scriptwriting, Creative Arts, and Dance & Rhythm at ACI Music and Art School in Istanbul. She also led workshops and mentored young performers.

 

Now based in Zurich, Deniz works across stage and screen in Europe while continuing to support young artists as an educator and coach.

 

She is fluent in English, German, and Turkish.
